Web analysis services and cookies:
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore you can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

You may find further information on terms of use and privacy policy ing the following links Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google Analytics Overview.

We want to point out that Google Analytics has been expanded by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();"” for guaranteeing an anonymous collection of the IP-addresses (so-called IP-masking).

Hotjar
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Newsletter / list of interested parties
This section is to inform you about the contents of our newsletter, as well as the registration, delivery and statistical evaluation used as well as your right to opt-out or object to this use. By subscribing to our list of interested parties and to our newsletter, you agree to its receipt and the procedures described below.

a) Content of the newsletter
We send a newsletter with project-specific information from our company only with the agreement of the recipient.

b) Registration
To register for our newsletter, you must complete the double opt-in procedure: After registration, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is required to prevent a third-party from registering for the newsletter with someone else’s e-mail address.
The registration for the newsletter will be logged in order to provide a record of the registration process to meet the applicable legal requirements. This includes storing the registration and confirmation times as well as the IP address used.

c) Registration data
To register for our newsletter, all that is necessary for you is to provide your first name (for a personal salutation), your telephone number (for any queries), and an e-mail address. All the other information is voluntary. It is used for marketing purposes.

d) Statistical analysis
The newsletter contains a “Web beacon”. When the newsletter is opened, this is called up from our web server. In the course of this call up, technical information, such as information about the web browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of the retrieval, is collected. This information is used to improve the technical performance of our services based on the technical data or the target groups and your reading habits, based on the call-up locations (which can be determined using the IP address), or the time of access.
Included in the statistical data collection is the determination that the newsletter has been opened, or not; the time it was opened, and which links were clicked in the newsletter. For technical reasons, this information can be linked to the individual newsletter recipients. It is, however, not our goal to observe individual users. The evaluation of these data is much more to recognise the reading habits of all our users, and to adapt our content to suit them, or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

e) Termination / Revocation
You can terminate your subscription to our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. A link to cancel your subscription can be found at the end of each newsletter.

f) General Data Protection Regulation legal basis
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applicable from 25 May 2018, we hereby inform you that the consent in sending e-mail addresses is based on Art. 6, para. 1 lit. a, 7 GDPR as well as Art. 7, para. 2, no. 3 and para 3 UWG. The performance of statistical evaluation and analysis as well as logging of the registration procedure is done based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our interests lie in providing a user-friendly and secure newsletter system which meets both our business interests and the expectations of our users.
We further point out that you can revoke your consent at any time to the future processing of your personal data in accordance with the statutory requirements of Art. 21 GDPR. This revocation can also be made against the processing for direct marketing purposes in particular.
